With the combination of moving house and starting a new job, I have been extremely busy these last few months and therefore fairly quiet on my blog! But what a blog to come back with!
Last weekend I discovered a place that has captured my heart. Fields full of Delphiniums and Cornflowers in the most dreamy array of colours. These beautiful flower petals eventually get turned into confetti, it is that idyllic! This is a place where it is socially acceptable to take hundreds of photos and pose amongst the flowers. Those of you who follow me on Instagram will have seen many of my flower filled posts since last weekend!
For one week only, each year the Real Flower Petal Confetti Company open their fields to visitors! Spotting these fields last year it had been a long wait, but so worth it! 2017 made it 20 years of growing confetti petals, celebrating the anniversary with a flower filled Union Jack!
After a wonderful drive through the countryside I arrived at Wyke Manor Estate Farm in Worcestershire. I took the left turning to the signed ‘flower fields’ and caught a glimpse of what was to come. The vibrant colours took my breath away. Here I met Leigh.
We paid a small fee of £2.50 and were allowed to spend our day with these wonderful flowers. Of course we immediately purchased our own bunch of freshly cut flowers from the field, followed by a visit to The Confetti Café. We were greeted by a mouthwatering selection of locally made cakes that were extremely tempting.
Cakes devoured, it was time to wander around the fields. Being the budding Instagrammers we are, we couldn’t miss this opportunity to have a photoshoot. Fortunately I had a few clothes lying around in the car. Kidding! We had exchanged dozens of Whatsapps and pre planned outfits that would match perfectly with the colours of the flowers…
A very talented friend of mine Abi had recently created my amazing ‘CB Capturing Life’ tee! Having always admired Abi’s work I saw this as a great opportunity to show off her beautiful designs! Her ‘Pretty in Pink’ jumper was perfectly fitting for our location, and her heart tee summed up how we felt on this day! If you are looking for something extra special and bespoke check out Abi’s Instagram.
For my outfit choices I opted for pastels! I wanted an outfit that allowed the flowers to compliment it.
My Next playsuit is super comfortable and perfect for the summer months. Stripes taking up a large percentage of my wardrobe this purchase was a must! I will definitely be taking this to Nice is September!
My Zara blouse and pleated skirt gave off a sophisticated countryside look paired with my basket bag and straw hat.
Finally my bargain Alicante Zara buy! This white dress! I must admit walking around such a wonderful setting with a big white dress and flowers in hand was a little suggestible, however thoroughly enjoyable.
I highly recommend scheduling in a visit to these flower fields next year, and be prepared for something beautiful!
Over and out with a confetti sprinkle!
